भारत में राष्ट्रपति का चुनाव कैसे होता है

देश में होने वाला   राष्ट्रपति   का चुनाव अन्य चुनावों के मुकाबले थोड़ा अलग और जटिल है। देश में राष्ट्रपति के चुनाव (How President Is Elected in India) में सीधे जनता की भागीदारी नहीं होती, इसके विपरीत जनता का प्रतिनिधित्व करने वाले यानी सांसद और विधायक राष्ट्रपति के चुनाव में भाग लेते हैं। लेकिन जो सांसद या विधायक नॉमिनेटेड होते हैं वे इस चुनाव में भाग लेने के योग्य नहीं माने जाते क्योंकि वे नॉमिनेटेड होते हैं और सीधे जनता द्वारा नहीं चुने जाते। इसी तरह विधानसभाओं के सदस्य भी इस चुनाव में हिस्सा नहीं लेते। जनता के प्रतिनिधि देश के राष्ट्रपति का चुनाव करते हैं। संविधान के अनुच्छेद 54 में भारत में राष्ट्रपति के चुनाव की प्रक्रिया का उल्लेख किया गया है। प्रेसिडेंट के चुनाव के लिए एक इलेक्टोरल कॉलेज का गठन किया जाता है जिसमें संसद के दोनों सदनों के चुने हुए सदस्यों और राज्यों के विधानसभा में चुने गए सदस्य वोट देते हैं। इसी कारण इसे इनडायरेक्ट इलेक्शन भी कहा जाता है। इलेक्टोरल कॉलेज में संसद के 776 सदस्य और 4,809 विधानसभा के सदस्य शामिल होते हैं। कॉलेज में कुल 10,86,431 वोट होते हैं। प्रत्य...

COVID CASES INCREASE IN INDIA ,

India logged 1,890 new coronavirus cases, the highest in 149 days, while the active cases increased to 9,433, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Sunday. The country had recorded 2,208 cases in a single day on October 28 last year. The death count has increased to 5,30,831 with seven deaths. While two deaths each were reported by Maharashtra and Gujarat in a span of 24 hours, three were reconciled by Kerala, the data updated at 8 am stated. The daily positivity was recorded at 1.56 per cent while the weekly positivity was pegged at 1.29 per cent. The Covid case tally was recorded at 4.47 crore (4,47,04,147) The active cases now comprises 0.02 per cent of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate has been recorded at 98.79 per cent, the ministry said. The number of people who have recuperated from the disease surged to 4,41,63,883, while the case fatality rate was recorded at 1.19 per cent.  ...

Cabinet approves release of an additional instalment of Dearness Allowance to Central Government employees and Dearness Relief to Pensioners, due from 01.01.2023 The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, today has given its approval to release an additional instalment of Dearness Allowance to Central Governments employees and Dearness Relief to Pensioners with effect from 01.01.2023.  The additional instalment will represent an increase of 4% over the existing rate of 38% of the Basic Pay/Pension, to compensate against price rise. This will benefit about 47.58 lakh Central Governments employees and 69.76 lakh pensioners. This increase is in accordance with the accepted formular which is based on the recommendations of the 7th Central Pay Commission.’
